Where People Want To Live

Hi, I am Tim Johnson and welcome to the California Business Minute
The annual Harris Poll finds that people still would like to live in or near
New York City than any other city. However, San Diego remains the second most
popular and San Francisco also remains on this year’s list tied for sixth. The
Harris Poll has asked this question almost every year since 1997. New York has
been the most popular city in every year except in 1998 when it placed second
behind San Francisco.

2. San Diego
3. Seattle, WA
4. Dallas, TX
5. Las Vegas, NV
6. San Francisco
6. Boston
8. Chicago, Ill
9. Honolulu, HI
10. Denver, CO
Of interest, it appears that people still want to live in the Golden State no
matter what the public image or economic conditions. San Diego remained #2 from
last year; and San Francisco moved down from #5 to being tied at #6 from last
year. Unfortunately, Los Angeles moved off the list from #6 last year as did
Nashville and Atlanta.
