It’s time for the business of baseball. California has five major league teams.
According to Forbes, the average value of a MLB franchise is $523 million. While the
New York Yankees are valuated as the highest franchise at $1.7 billion, Los Angeles
Dodgers are 3rd at $800 million. The San Francisco Giants are 7th at $563 million.
The LA Angels are 9th at $534 million. San Diego Padres are 19th at $406 million and
Oakland is 30th at $307 million.
The Los Angeles Dodgers home opener is Friday April 1st against the San Francisco Giants
at 7:10pm.
The Los Angeles Angels open on the road against the Kansas City Royals on Friday April
1st Their home opener is Friday, April 8th, 7:05pm against the Toronto Blue Jays.
The World Champion San Francisco Giants open on the road against the Dodgers on Friday.
Their home opener is Friday, April 8th against the St. Louis Cardinals.
The Oakland Athletics, (A’s) home opener is Friday, April 1st against Seattle.
The San Diego Padres open on the road against St. Louis on Saturday, April 2nd.
Their home opener is Tuesday, April 5th at 3:35pm against San Francisco.
