Hi, I am Tim Johnson and welcome to the California Business Minute.

Inc. magazine today announced its 30th annual Inc. 500, an exclusive ranking of the
nation's fastest-growing private companies. The list spotlights the risk takers
of innovative business models and formidable execution.

California continues its position as having the largest number of companies on the
Inc. 500, with 88 down from 92 last year but up from 84 in 2009.

While the Top Ten fastest growing companies may not be from California, given
that only one is from the state, nearly 25 percent of the Top 50 can be found from
the Golden State. California also had 2 more in the Top 50 than in 2010.
