Hi, I am Tim Johnson and welcome to the California Business Minute.
The “Best Resort in the Nation” is located in California according to the
Conde Nast Readers Choice Awards 2011. The magazine waded through more
than 8 million votes rating cities, islands and hotels/resorts.
In the category of hotel/resorts, the Resort at Pelican Hill in Newport was
ranked the highest resort in the nation and 29th overall in the world for
hotels and resorts.
In addition, the Rosewood in San Martin was ranked 51st the Auberge du Soleil
in Napa Valley and the Lodge at Pebble Beach were tied at 58th and the Peninsula
in Beverly Hills was 77th in the world.
San Francisco and Carmel were ranked in the Top 10 Cities in the nation for
visitors.
