Hi, I am Tim Johnson and welcome to the California Business Minute.
Californias Minimum Wage rose to $8.00 an hour from $7.50 on January 1, 2008.
California is now tied with Massachusetts as having the second highest minimum wage in the nation just behind the state of Washington at $8.07 per hour.
