California Business Minute™

Hi, I am Tim Johnson and welcome to the California Business Minute.

Even with the firestorms in the southern part of the state, California is ranked the
best place that people want to live in the nation according to a Harris Poll that was
just released. 

The annual survey examines what states and cities people from across the nation
are most interested in living.  California was chosen the #1 state.

In addition, people ranked San Diego as the second best city in the nation, followed
by San Francisco at #4 and Los Angeles at #9.  New York City was ranked the highest
in the nation as the top city in the poll.

California was ranked the best place people want to live in the nation by the age groups from Echo
Boomers and Gen X but not by Baby Boomers; unfortunately Hawaii and Florida received
higher rankings. However, for Mature Age and Greatest Generation, California again received
the highest marks! (NOTE: California Business Minute refers to Mature Age and Greatest
Generation as ‘More Experienced Personnel’).

Men chose California as the top spot, while women chose Hawaii first, and then followed
by California.
