Hi, I am Tim Johnson and welcome to the California Business Minute.

San Francisco has been named “Everybody’s Favorite City’ this past week by Conde
Nast Traveler’s annual Readers’ choice Awards as the top city to visit in the nation.

Tabulated from more than 28,000 responses, the Readers’ choice Survey is one of the
largest, if not the largest consumer polls in the nation.  The award is based on the
ambiance of the city, friendliness of its citizenry, culture/sites, restaurants, lodging
and shopping.

The ‘Choice Awards’ are the highest honors in the travel industry celebrating the best
of the best in the categories of airlines, cruises, cities, hotels, rental car operators and
resorts.

This is the17th time San Francisco has received this award.  This year San Francisco
was followed by New York and Charleston, South Carolina.
