Hi, I am Tim Johnson and welcome to the California Business Minute.
The California Clean Tech Open announced the winners of its competition
The Open brings together entrepreneurs, researchers, environmentalists, investors,
business professionals and others to create economic growth and environmental
sustainability by sparking a clean technology cluster in California. The event winners
receive early-stage capital and expertise, the competition speeds clean technologies
from lab to market. This years winners include:
-Lucid Design Group drives energy conservation by creating real-time information feedback on the
environmental performance of buildings
-NiLA, Inc. makes efficient and cool-running LED stage set lighting for the entertainment industry
-1-Solar develops low-priced long-life inverters for photovoltaic systems
-BuildFast manufactures house kit for low-income and post-disaster housing
-Syncromatics develops automated vehicle location systems for bus and transit line efficiency
-Microvi Biotech LLC, provides waste-free water treatment technologies.
