Hi, I am Tim Johnson and welcome to the California Business Minute.

The consultancy firm Robert Half International released their ‘Financial Hiring Index’
that examines employment growth in accounting and finance.  The following outlines
the California cities examined. The survey interviewed Chief Financial Officers from
firms in each of the following markets:

San Diego
9% hiring, 9% anticipating reductions and 82% identify no change

Los Angeles
11% hiring, 7% anticipating reductions and 82% identify no change

San Francisco, Bay Area
7% hiring, 4% anticipating reductions and 89% identify no change

Sacramento
6% hiring, 6% anticipating reductions and 88% identify no change

Nationally, the survey identified that the hiring environment remains steady, specifically
for staff accountants, internal auditors and financial analysts.
